VOLUNTEER WITH CAMP PILIALOHA ‘O MAUI

Thank you for your interest in serving at Camp Pilialoha ‘O Maui. We are excited that you will be joining us for our annual camp serving the “Angels” from Maui, Molokai and Lanai. Please be sure to read through this form carefully. It contains some background information to help you understand, not only what we do, but more importantly, why we do it!

Camp Pilialoha ‘O Maui reaches out to the children of Maui’ county’s incarcerated, many who are hurting and do not know Jesus personally and have never experienced HIS love. We therefore consider each volunteer a missionary.

We call the children who attend camp our “Angels”. These “Angels” have either one or both parents in or have been in prison facilities here in Hawaii, on the mainland and elsewhere. No matter the physical distance that separates these “Angels” from their parent(s), in most cases there has or has been little or possibly no contact.

Camp Pilialoha ‘O Maui will introduce God’s love by breaking down walls of the feeling of abandonment, anger, and pain to heal broken heart and save the lost.

It is our prayer and goal that every moment at camp, whether during activities, meals, craft, conversation or game is focused around introducing our “Angels” to the Gospel!
